Health Guarantee
puppy shih tzu for sale near you -To the best of the breeder’s knowledge and belief, this puppy is in good health, free from symptoms of contagious and infectious diseases at the time of sale. If the buyer believes this puppy to be sick, the animal should be taken to a veterinarian of the buyer’s choice. Breeder is not responsible for any medical bills once the puppy is in buyer’s care. A one year after sale replacement puppy is given for any major organ failure caused by a genetic disease. This guarantee also covers genetic or congenital bone disease (such as hips and knees). Luxating patellas must be a Grade 3 or above and must be diagnosed with x-rays by an orthopedic veterinarian.
A notarized veterinarian report with findings stating, to a medical certainty that the condition was in fact caused from the prenatal or hereditary state will be required. If the puppy expires from the condition a full autopsy will be required and results must be sent to sellers veterinarian. Buyers will be required to send the notarized vet’s report by certified mail along with all of the puppy’s medical records, breeder’s veterinarian must confirm and agree with the diagnosis. The breeder will then offer buyer a replacement puppy of equal value or lesser value from an upcoming litter. Replacement guarantee will be terminated if puppy was found to be abused, neglected, or does not have up to date records of vaccinations, heart worm prevention and fecal records.
As of the date of delivery, the puppy has received proper vaccinations and regular de-wormer treatments. Veterinarians are now suggesting new owners vaccinate their puppy with the Leptospirosis vaccination. This vaccination’s side effects and adverse reactions outweigh the treatment. This guarantee will be voided if your veterinarian administers the Lepto vaccination before the pup reaches the age of 1 year, the length of this contract. Buyer has been informed of this. This guarantee does not cover disease for which vaccinations could prevent. Puppy needs to be seen by a veterinarian within 72 business hours of receipt for warranty to be valid.
Documentation will need to be provided. This guarantee does not cover treatment of coccidia, giardia and kennel cough which is usually caused by bacteria and is common in puppies that are shipped or transitioning to a new home which is stressful on their systems. Kennel cough is self-limiting and like the common cold must run its course. Full recovery is expected and on its own kennel cough is not life-threatening. This guarantee does not cover what in the Shih-Tzu breed is considered normal due to being a bradycephalic breed: cherry eye, stenotic nares, dental procedures including under bite and over bite, dental issues such as crooked teeth which is common, tear stains, eyes problems such as dry eye, ear infections, umbilical hernia and inguinal hernias, etc. Dew claws are removed at the age of 3-4 days. In some rare cases, dew claws have been known to regrow, this guarantee does not cover the regrowth of dew claws.
The size of the puppy will grow to, as an adult, is only an estimate based on breeder’s experience and trait’s recognition. No guarantees are made as to adult size. The breeder does not guarantee the color of said dog. Because the breed is normally double-coated, their color may become lighter or darker as they age and grow, and will most always be lighter if the dog is shaved down, as the undercoat is lighter. Pups being sold as pets will only be listed as limited registration meaning spay/neuter is to be done when pup reaches correct age based on when your veterinarian will perform said procedure. Buyer agrees NOT to breed said puppy until she has reached the minimum age of 14 months, if full AKC rights have been given by the breeder. AKC papers and health guarantee are non-transferable. Buyer will notify breeder before placing pup in a new home. At no time, do I want my pups ever surrended to a shelter or rescue. I will gladly accept the return of one of my pups, at any age, at no cost to me.
Thank you for providing ________________ a wonderful new forever home.
If the Buyer(s) continue to keep the above listed puppy on my (the Breeder) recommendation of NuVet vitamins and purchase the NuVet vitamins through the Breeders NuVet access, the Breeder then extends the health guarantee from 1 year to a 2 year guarantee.
Note: Buyer understands that until the puppy reaches about 16 weeks of age and has completed its series of inoculations, it should not be exposed to areas highly tracked by animals outside the home. Any evidence of neglect or abuse of this puppy shall void the guarantee in its entirety and the dog must be returned with no financial restitution.
Visiting or picking up your puppy up your puppy
When visiting our home to pick your puppy up (after they are 8 weeks old), we ask that you pre-arrange your appointment and ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:
Please do not come in contact with another breeder or another dog (other than your own fully vaccinated and healthy dog) 3 days prior to visiting our place. Additionally, do not wear any shoes to our property that have EVER visited dog park, public park, airport or highway rest stop. These four places are known to have an extremely high probability of harboring the deadly disease “Parvo”.
Parvo can survive on the ground and on the soles of shoes for up to 7 years, and can be transmitted to places where you walk. Compared to human viruses it’s like the Bubonic Plague (Black Death). Once you get it on your property or shoes, it’s virtually impossible to eradicate.
Puppies are highly susceptible to this virus and the majority of the time, once infected, it will kill the whole litter and future litters. This is the main reason why many other breeders DO NOT allow people to come visit their properties. However, we appreciate having folks come visit us and we think that with a little effort on everyone’s part, we can keep our property Parvo-Free.
We’re counting on you to help us keep our property Parvo-Free. If you do not have a “safe” pair of shoes to wear when you get here, just let us know and we’ll provide you with medical booties that you can slip over your shoes
Delivery to your location
When you’re not able to come pick up your puppy in person, this is the next best option. We can arrange either ground transportation or air transportation via a flight nanny, whichever is available based on your location and the schedule of our nannies. If your puppy is flying with a nanny, this price includes the cost of travel, travel crate, and tickets.
Ground transportation allows the nanny to make frequent stops for bathroom breaks and be there if the puppy needs anything along the ride and your puppy will be delivered to your door.
If a flight nanny is available, this person will sit on the airplane with the puppy. They will take your puppy to designated puppy spots within the airport before take off, and will be there with the puppy the entire time during flight. You must be able to meet the nanny at your nearest airport to pick up your puppy with this option.
